Annemarie Buckley (b. 1981, Geneva, New York) is a Burlington, Vermont-based artist. Driven by her fascination with color and affection for the Vermont landscape, Buckley constructs both real and imaginary moments. Her enduring focus on shape and color references the iconography of Tom Slaughter, the geometric abstraction of Shirley Jaffe, the clarity of Ellsworth Kelly, and the energy of Corita Kent—among other inspirations. Buckley continuously explores within her distinctive palette, seeking and sharing moments of joy and discovery along the way.
